Meet our Newest Veterinarian - A Q&A with Dr. Sheila Connelly
Q: What areas of veterinary medicine do you most enjoy?
Dr. Sheila Connelly: I enjoy informing pet owners how important preventative care is for the health of their pets. Regular veterinary care with exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention and early detection lab testing can help pets live longer, healthier and happier lives! I also am completing the “Fear Free” certification to make vet appointments less stressful on the patient and owner.
Q: Where were you before you came to Appalachian Animal Clinic?
Dr. Sheila Connelly: The past 7 years I worked in Chattanooga area and have also worked in Georgia, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of working in the vet hospital?
I am busy with my three daughters, 4 dogs, 3 cats and several fish and aquatic frogs. I enjoy crafts, sewing, cooking, volunteering with animal rescue group that treats foster dogs and riding Tennessee walking horses.
